Getting better...

Well, Penny seems to be getting better with being in her crate. Slept in it for most of the night last night. And this morning, she was a bit more sprawled out and relaxed in it. Next step, reattaching the door!

Noncommittal

I'm not sure how Penny is going to handle this whole crate situation. Our trainer wants us to feed Penny all her meals and treats in the crate so that she starts to associated 'good things' with it. But Penny is very reluctant. This is her trying to eating her dinner:

Penny met this pair last time we were at the dog park, so they had
already gotten introductions aside and went directly to play mode.

Homework

We got an extensive write up/assessment from the dog trainer yesterday. FIVE pages of homework and exercises! We worked on some more "leave it" last night. And Penny left her treat like there was a plague on it!

Interesting though, the trainer categorized her breed as an Italian greyhound mix. That's two votes now from trusted professionals (the trainer and the vet) that Penny is an Italian greyhound mix.

With those legs, perhaps she is. I think a doggie DNA test is in order!!
