Penny's Chihuahua brothers and sisters on The Dog Whisperer

Penny was like this--she'd snap if you got your feet near her, if you touched her tail, or if you got your face too close to her--she would start with a little curl to her lip, an evil look in her eye, the "snap!", she'd be snarl, growl , bare her teeth and snap at you! After working with her for 3 years, she's pretty darn good nowadays. I can still get her to curl her lips and snarl, but I should be given a time out for that! Bad Bill, no!

Penny's Temperment Evaluation

FAIL. Well, partially anyway. We want to increase her socialization in preperation for our baby, so we brought her to a doggy day care, K9 Klub Playcenter near my work. It's a really nice boarding facility, and pretty reasonably priced--if she had passed the temperment evaluation. Well, they will accept her for 1/2 days and slowly introduce her to other dogs. We'll see how she does with that!
